Services

At Stellar Performance we offer various Kinesiology, Soft Tissue Release and Personal Training services. Through combining Kinesiology and Personal Training we strive towards a holistic approach to personal health and well being.

  • This 30 minute localized session includes a brief movement assessment, assessment of the injured area, Soft Tissue Release (a technique performed by the registered kinesiologist in order to help with muscle/joint range of motion, flexibility and soreness), exercise prescription, and passive/active stretching. This is not a full body treatment, it is meant for specific pains/injury. For example, tight shins/hamstrings, tennis elbow, whiplash injury, post ACL-surgery, limited shoulder mobility. Please bring a pair of shorts to change into and a sports bra if necessary and include your injury when booking.

  • Soft Tissue Release involves actively stretching the body at various joint angles, while the kinesiologist applies pressure and/or gliding movements to the muscles. This full body treatment is beneficial for desk workers, athletes, people with muscle tightness, soreness or imbalances, chronic/acute pain, or restricted mobility and flexibility. Please bring shorts, and a sports bra to change into if necessary.

  • This consultation helps me get to know you and your history so that we can work towards achieving your goals. During the initial consultation you will fill out a physical activity readiness form, we will take your blood pressure, and complete fitness, flexibility and joint mobility testing. We will also set some goals, take current measurements, as well as go over an overview of how I work. Please prepare any questions you have for me beforehand and come ready to exercise (runners and clothes to move in). I look forward to working with you!

  • If you are a new client, please register for a consultation first. This treatment includes a 1 hour customized personal training session to work towards your goals made by a registered kinesiologist, coach and personal trainer. Please bring a water bottle, a pair of running shoes, and clothes that are comfortable to move in.

What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is the study of human movement. A Kinesiologist can help with injury prevention or injury rehabilitation as well as general health and fitness maintenance. Kinesiologists are knowledgeable in anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, exercise prescription, injury and postural assessments, proper exercise technique, return to sport/work programs and so much more! Furthermore, a good Kinesiologist will help you navigate the struggles you face when dealing with an injury or limitation. Our Kinesiologist, Cassandra Angus is also certified in Soft Tissue Release, and is aiming to complete a Pilates certification in 2024.
